Good Luck Obama (Good Luck K' Ogello) !

Finally, the day the entire world has held their collective breaths for is finally here. Its Election Day in the USA an the battle is of enourmous historical relevance as we already know... Will the Free World have an African-American(-Kenyan) President for the first time in the name of Illinois Senator Barack Obama or will it emerge with the first woman Vice-president in its history, namely Sarah Palin? Those two are the main focus of the elctions...forget John Mc Cain. The Republican campaign didnt pick up steam until Dear John ( I love how the way he cant raise his hands higher then 90 degrees... the Viet Kong musta reallly pinched a brothers armpits!) until John fished out this lady from Alaska and dressed her up in $150,0000 worth of haute couture.

It has all been said and done. they have debated and campaigned, the Wolf Blitzers and Basset Buyukas of this world have analysed each and every angle for us.Now its our turn to watch as the Americans make the decision for the rest of the world in a poll that could radically shift the world stance to may things, given the cyrrent recession wave...

Here in Kenya, there is absolutely no question as to who we back.Obama is our son and as the tradition we back our blood irrrespective of policy, whether good or bad (thankfully he has good ones)... we even held a mock election in the satellite state of Kisumu with an overwhelming result of 99% to nought for Mc Cain.

The first wave of vote tallying will begin in the so-called battle-ground states which will give a quick picture of whether the 7 point lead that Obama currently has in polls is genuine or if we are going to another Bradley Nightmare...

My two cents? We will be literally shafted with a Mc Cain administation plus a looming threat of Sarah Palin at the head of one of the most powerful countries in the world...Better begin the next four years with a revolutionary mood than anything else. I am PROUD to be associated with Barack Obama and wish him the best of luck in OUR campaign to change the world as we know it, and prove that colour is irrelevant as regards leadership...N*ggers got brains too lol!!

WHAT IS KENYAS GIFT TO OBAMA???

Even as we celebrate Obama’s success story, even as we with fingers closed wait for his inauguration as the 1st half black President of the USA. We need as Kenyans to ask ourselves this fundamental question. What has been our contribution to Obama Success?

His BIOLOGICAL father was a Kenyan, who however abandoned his son and escaped any responsibilities of child support. Infact Obama confesses that he learnt more form his Kenyan ‘father’ absence than from his presence. This is kenya’s EMBARASSMENT NO. 1. So his real father was the parents who took Obama in and saw him through his childhood and teenage years giving him the values that he now holds. That’s the reality Kenyans.

His ‘Cousin’ Raila has all along been a source of discredit to his good reputation. Raila with his VIOLENT NATURE, COMMUNIST ORIENTATIONS, MUSLIM ASSOCIATIONS have all been used against Obama. Infact, Raila in himself has cost Obama some support and Obama campaign team had to work hard to show how distant in thinking and association these two men are. This is Kenya’s EMBARASSMENT 2. It has not gone unnoticed to the Mc Cain campaign team that Raila call for mass protest in Kenya led to over 1500 deaths. This explains why Obama banished Raila from any visits to his campaign or why Obama campaign team has consistently turned down on 4 occassions RAILA’S MONETARY CONTRIBUTIONS totaling 40,000 USD.

Obama’s Aunt who also happen to be Kenyan has been an illegal immigrant in US for a while. This was also ANOTHER EMBARRASSMENT from yet another Kenyan.
Infact, we OWE OBAMA AN APOLOGY AS A COUNTRY. With all these bad publicity from Kenya’s heritage, Obama has been understanding enough not to talk ill of us. For that we should be grateful.

Looking on the other side, Obama’s real family in the US has been a SOURCE OF INSPIRATION AND GOOD PUBLICITY. Yet, they have been quite about it as we in Kenya tell the whole world how Kenyan Obama is.

So the reality is that KENYA HAS BEEN AN EMBARASSMENT TO OBAMA.

Well, the first point you got spot on! Obama's dad actually abandoned the boy, which may have been a factor contributing to what Obama is today.

I thought it was the Republican propagandists and Corsi who tried to tie Raila and his past tribulations to Obama? Uneortunately, there were no signs of rigging of the American polls so we dont know how he would have reacted to that!

Obamas aunt - I think its the wetbacks who are the most rampant illegal immigrants. . .not Kenyans.

The main embarassment to me is Kibaki's decision to declare a public holiday. Obama gets down to work and all we can do is declare a holiday??? Gosh!
